S. K. Gupta’s leadership journey began as a chief engineer aboard merchant ships, continued through some of America’s most advanced defense and space programs—including the U.S. Navy’s Sea Shadow stealth ship and Lockheed Martin Space Systems—and now focuses on helping leaders navigate their own careers.
S. K. Gupta’s career has included engine rooms, classified programs, and corporate boardrooms. After three decades in engineering and executive leadership, he founded Ascend Pinnacle, the Asian American Corporate Directors Network, to help the next generation of Asian American leaders reach the boardroom faster than he did. His book, The Asian American Executive, distills what he learned along the way — from Sea, to Star Wars, to Space.
